Environment - Plastic Bottle Recycling Facts
- Plastic bottles are recycled into rugs, swimming goggles, dog bowls, backpacks, skateboard wheels - 5 plastic bottles produce enough filling for a ski coat, 25 recycled bottles make a fleece coat - 14x20oz PET bottles produce one XLarge Tshirt and 26 bottles make a polyester suit - Recyclers melt plastic and whip it, making a foam. The foam is spun into fibers. Fibres are mixed with cotton and make white T-shirts - A 1L water bottle can be recycled and manufactured as a ruler -Nails and screws in plastic lumber hold up to 50 years.

Traditional plastics made with ENSO biodegrade in anaerobic (landfill) environments, breaking down through microbial action into biogases and inert humus; leaving behind no harmful materials. Plastics utilizing ENSO are also fully recyclable and can be mixed into existing recycling streams without resulting in contamination.
