DUBAI CLUB SCENE

Dubai is full of ways to have fun when the sun goes down, from the largest and latest clubs through to intimate lounges, bars and cafes. In Dubai, outdoor and beach clubs are popular too, and some of the best known Dubai clubs and bars are in the leading hotels. The Dubai club and bar scene effortlessly incorporates just about anyone, and age is no barrier.

People By Crystal. Raffles Hotel

Winner of  Best Club award, People by Crystal is a decadent explosion of glamour and extravagance.

Located at the top of Raffles pyramid, the flashing lights shows, sprouting confetti, heavy beats and killer views ensure this place is packed every night of the week.

360, Jumeirah Beach Hotel

There’s simply nowhere else like it – Dubai’s unique circular venue, down a jetty one kilometre out to sea, offers all the atmosphere of the ocean and the best views of the Burj Al Arab in town.

But it’s the incredible house nights by Audio Tonic and Must Have Soul, who boast some of the best resident DJs in town, which make this a club not a bar.

Armani/Privé, Burj Khalifa

Stationed at the base of the Burj Khalifa, there are few more intimidating places to house a club in the world than old Giorgio’s branded nightclub. Thankfully, this high-rolling spot lives up to both the name and location.

Boudoir, Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa

Self-consciously glitzy Persian-themed bar-club Boudoir hosts a chic, exclusive crowd –and the necessary lively theatrics to accommodate them.

Chi@The Lodge,

The original big one, despite Dubai’s ongoing shift towards the Marina, Chi is working hard to weather the storm, hosting healthy new club nights and some cracking gigs over the past 12 months. Don’t forget the dinosaur, it still packs a mighty roar.

Nasimi Beach, Atlantis

An experience entirely unique to Dubai is partying on an artificial beach 7km out to sea, looking back at the glistening skyline.

Nasimi has worked its way into Dubai’s consciousness as a must-do, and is equally comfortable as a boutique beach club on weeknights as a pounding club at weekends.

Rock Bottom, Tecom

It’s neck-and-neck with the old Bur Dubai original, but Dubai’s shift southwards has seen the spotlight thrust onto the baby Rocky B’s in Tecom.

It’s larger, brighter and smarter, but the carefree, no-holds-barred ethos of the original has not been lost. For a pretension-free night, hitting Rock Bottom is still the ultimate no-brainer.

Trilogy, Souk Madinat

Hosting fantastic international DJs on a weekly basis, this is one of the best places to hear modern music in Dubai.

Boasting two rooms, a cool garden, and a prime location, Trilogy is a serious nightclub that means serious business, and no one who is yet to visit can claim to be a serious music fan.
